Which ferry? Harbour crossings, Gozo and Comino compared

Valletta Ferry Services connects Sliema with Valletta and Valletta with the Three Cities. These are useful harbour journeys, but they have different landing points and should not be confused with travel to Gozo. Confirm which Valletta side your route uses and the walk between the landing and your destination. Check the seasonal schedule for the actual date, especially before an evening meal or performance. A convenient outbound crossing does not guarantee a late return at the time you would prefer.

Gozo: start by choosing your terminal

Gozo Channel publishes the Ċirkewwa–Mġarr service, including information relevant to vehicles and foot passengers. Gozo Highspeed is another operator to consult when comparing a passenger journey from the Valletta area. Examine the whole trip from accommodation to final destination, not only the advertised sailing. A shorter time on the water can still involve an inconvenient connection on land. If taking a vehicle or needing assistance, check the selected operator’s arrangements directly before buying or relying on a particular departure.

Comino: transport and entry are separate

A boat to Comino is a different decision from a regular Gozo transfer. Check how much time the booking allows ashore, the return point and whether a cruise includes additional stops. The Blue Lagoon visitor reservation is a separate requirement to confirm through the official system. For every route, look for service updates shortly before departure and keep a sensible alternative when weather may affect the crossing. Save booking details and a precise meeting point.
